Accounts are not offered

Reading, searching and filtering require no registration. The site keeps no user profile, no saved list of recipes and no record of an individual's browsing history.

Data submitted by form

The Contact and Corrections forms collect whatever the sender enters, typically a name, an email address and a message. That data serves only to answer the message or to examine the report. It is neither sold nor rented, and it is not used for marketing.

Hosting logs

The hosting server can automatically log technical details of each request, including the IP address, the browser type and the page requested. Such logs support security and the detection of abuse. They are not used to assemble profiles of individual visitors.

Outside providers

Web fonts come from Google Fonts, and retrieving them can involve a request to the provider's servers. The site passes no personal account data in that request. The Cookie Policy gives further detail on third-party requests and local storage.

Younger visitors

The site is a general-audience cooking reference and is not aimed at children. It does not knowingly gather personal information from them.

Available choices

The whole library can be used without supplying any personal information. A person who has written in and wants the stored message removed can ask for that through the Contact page.
